Since 2021, we have been carrying out a project of comprehensive support for libraries that have received funding for the implementation of projects under the BLISKO Programme of the National Cultural Centre. It is the largest programme dedicated to libraries and reading development in Poland.
In cooperation with the National Centre for Culture Poland, our foundation is responsible for the delivery of tutoring, training, and introductory and concluding meetings for programme beneficiaries.

What do we do?
As part of the project, the Civis Polonus Foundation organises kick-off and follow-up meetings, training sessions and tutoring support for library teams in the key areas of BLISKO, which are:
- developing local partnerships in which the library acts as a space for community meetings, joint work, creative activity, promotion of reading activity and relaxation and integration;
- strengthening the competences of library staff to recognise the needs and cultural potential of members of local communities, and consequently to cooperate effectively with them and initiate cultural activities around libraries;
- sharing experiences with other beneficiaries nationwide;
- involving new communities in the activities of libraries and activating local communities.

The programme of support for libraries is implemented in cooperation with and on behalf of the National Centre of Culture Poland.
