Programme for the development of volunteering in Warsaw's municipal institutions

01.05.2024 - 05.12.2024
project targeted at Local community
As part of the ‘Warsaw Volunteers’ (Ochotnicy Warszawscy) project, the Civis Polonus Foundation is implementing a programme supporting the development of employee volunteering in public institutions in the City of Warsaw.

The organisation of employee volunteering is understood as cooperation between municipal institutions and the private sector. The private sector, through employee volunteering, can support the activities of city institutions.

The main objective of the project is to transfer knowledge on cooperation with the private sector under employee volunteering and to exchange experiences between participants on cooperation with the private sector under employee volunteering.

What do we do?

In 2024, in the framework of the project we are implementing:
  • 2 group trainings on the organisation of employee volunteering - ‘How to establish cooperation with the private sector within the framework of employee volunteering in a municipal institution’;
  • 15 one-to-one meetings with employees of municipal institutions on employee volunteering.
During the trainings, participants will learn, among other things:
  • what employee volunteering is,
  • what are the formal and legal aspects of employee volunteering,
  • what are the possible forms of cooperation with employee volunteering (e.g. group/action volunteering, individual/long-term volunteering, etc.),
  • how to prepare for cooperation with the private sector (including: how to prepare a budget for an employee volunteering action and how to plan its costs),
  • what are the good practices of employee volunteering.

Partners

The project is financed by the Warsaw City Hall under the 'Ochotnicy Warszawscy' or Warsaw Volunteers programme.
